This is by far one of the oddest problems I’ve come across since our company updated from LN 6.5 to 8.0.1:
I’ve got a user who has a string of emails from one source that fail to show its link as a hyperlink. The original source is not in question, as any user who is CC’d or has the email forwarded to them can properly view the link as a hyperlink. The same user can view all his other mail and click on links with no problem.
Several attempts were made for Lotus Notes 8.0.1 to be uninstalled and reinstalled on the user’s XP SP2 machine, and each time all past data was removed (Only the Notes ID was kept, to log in on the new setup). The user preference for “Make Internet URLS hotspots” is always checked. It does not seem to matter what login profile is used on the XP machine, the issue persists.
If we open the user’s mail file from another machine, the link is shown as a hyperlink. Everything points to a problem with the local machine - except that no matter where his webmail is accessed, it fails to link as well
I’m almost certain the problem is with the user’s preferences, but I’ve done just about everything I can think of. Any suggestions?
