Hi!
Is it possible to let a reader or an author run an an agent that sets flags in documents?
I’ve tried to set “Run as Web user”, “Run on behalf of” and “3. Allow restricted operations with full administration rights” but when the users run it there is a error message that they have insufficient rights. Is there a setting somewhere I’ve missed?
Thanks in advance
Frank

I don’t know if it needs to be in realtime - But I’d suggest to run an agent which triggers another agent (db.agent.run) which sets the flag. The 2nd would need to run on behalf of an editor. I used this to run instant replication for a user who was not allowed to trigger replication:
Sub Initialize
Dim s As New NotesSession
Dim db As NotesDatabase
Set db = s.CurrentDatabase
If db.Server <> "<yourserver>" Then Exit Sub
Print "AutoReplizieren MUE/FFM : In ReplizierenStarten"
Dim agt As NotesAgent
Set agt = db.GetAgent("agtReplizieren)")
Call agt.RunOnServer
End Sub
agtReplizieren was the agent running on behalf of me

Frank,
I believe that the Authors fields and ACL trumps all other settings. If you are an Author and not listed in an Authors field, you will not be able to update the document. Exactly the same if you are a Reader.
I don;t believe there is a “back-door”
