LDAP with 2 directories

Hi,I try to get LDAP to work. I can access the primary names.nsf, but not a second directory I set up for testing. I used the pubnames.ntf, I added it to my Directory Asistance. I gave it the same setup as the names.nsf (Name Rules, Enabled, Trusted). I restarted the server and can see the new addressbook , for example when I write a mail and check for an address. I entered one entry in the new addressbook but this is never shown.

I use “Softerra LDAP Broswer 2.6” to access the LDAP directories.

I tried to read the help-file, but it is very difficult to understand for my kind of problem. Any ideas or maybe a short general explanation how it should work would greatly appreciatet.

In directory assistance, have you enabled the secondary addressbook for LDAP clients? Have you got a “*” config doc in your secondary addressbook for its LDAP configuration? Do you access the LDAP server anonymously or as authenticated user - is the ACL set correctly?Good luck!

I’m not sure if I understand this correct. Do I have to setup a configuration-document in the 2nd directory?

Do you access the LDAP server anonymously or as authenticated user - is the ACL set correctly?

I access it authenticated, with manager access

You need a *-config doc in every directory that you want to enable for LDAP.

I took the names.nsf out of the DA and changed the Naming Rules to all blank. Then it worked.Thanks again

Remember that you Primary Directory should not be included in your Directory Assistance database.If you specify the server/database details on the Replica tab in your DA database check that it is Enabled here too.

I have my names.nsf also in the DA. Should I delete it there? Is it still accessible then for everybody?Thanks
