LDAP SERVER: Listener filure TCP/IP port 389 is in use

I have a problem loading my Ldap server on domino. The following error occurred:

"LDAP SERVER: Listener failure, TCP/IP port number [389] is in use on this system.

Suspending listen task for 20 seconds"

On first i have tried to restart server, IIS, domino server but that didn’t helped…

Using a netstat -a -b -o command in cmd i have realized that port is using a process named lsass.exe wich is critical system process and i cant shut it down with task manager. It is Local Security Authentication Server.

I tied to find some way to change port of this process shut down or restart that service or find some command to restart or close that port but with no success.

So I am wondering if anyone had the same problem, and can offer me quick solution?

Any Ideas are welcome!

Hello,

If Active Directory is running on your machine, it will take port 389 for itself.

Check the Domino Administrator documentation to help you configure Domino’s LDAP server to listen on a different port.
