hi,we config. directory assistance for web authentication. The ‘side effect’ is that when sending a mail, the notesserver makes also an ldap request. On the ldap server we see a lot of request of notes not only for authentication . Can we force domino just to use ldap when authenticate for webmail. When sending a mail, only the domino directory must be used, not the ldap ?

Summarie: use webmail, authentication via ldap.

Sending email just use the domino directory and do not make also a request to the ldap server, because sending mail to 1500 users a time, the novell ldap server goes to 100% utilisation.

Thanks - we’ve heard several customers request this feature. Unfortunately we cannot add it to a maintenance release. Look for it in the next feature release :slight_smile:
