I have setup directory assistance to authenticate to a external ldap based directory (penrose). I have followed the instructions from domino administrator help and read numerous of posts in this forum.
When the server is newly started everything works just fine, after about 10 minutes the authentication to the ldap directory fails, when the domino server is rebooted its works for another 10 minutes.
When reading the penrose logs I can see that penrose raises a “Invalid session” error, this happends after the “10” minutes from reboot.
Does anyone know if the domino server makes new connections each time when connecting to external directory or if domino just performs a ldap bound ?
Anyone has any ideas what so ever to solve this problem ?
Is there a way of forcing domino to reconnect for each ldap call ?
I can also conclude that domino redirects all of it’s authentication calls to ldap directory even though some of it’s users is in the domino directory, doesn’t domino first look into it’s own directory and then if no match redirects it’s login call to the ldap ?
Please help me out…
