LDAP and email addresses

Hi, i’m using LDAP on Domino to let some Outlook clients access a directory of company contacts. My problem is that not all of the contacts have an email address and in these cases LDAP returns contactname@mycompany.com as the email address, where mycompany.com is the mail domain managed by Domino. So these email addresses are obviously wrong…

Does anybody know why Domino returns these fake addresses and if it’s possible to make it return nothing or simply the contact name?

I’ve seen in this forum similar questions in the past but no answers…

Thanks for any hint.

The mail attribute is generated using the same algorithm implemented by the Domino router.
