I have an agent that uses the LCLSX to access an informix table. I get the value of several fields and populate a Notes document with the info. One field in particular seems to come across truncated at 25 characters. The type is LCTYPE_TEXT. I’m using the .text(0) property of the field to get the value. Is there a limit to the amount of text I can get back this way? I need to be able to get more than 25 characters (but probably no more than 50 at the most). Should I be doing this another way?
Here’s my code:
Dim fldLstInfx As LCFieldList
Dim fldFileNmInfx As LCField, fldUpdt As LCField, fldDesc As LCField
Call src.Select(Nothing,1,fldLstInfx)
Set fldLstInfx = New LCFieldList
Call fldLstInfx.Append(FLD_PLANNM,LCTYPE_TEXT)
Call fldLstInfx.Append(FLD_LASTUPDT,LCTYPE_TEXT)
Call fldLstInfx.Append(FLD_DESCI,LCTYPE_TEXT)
While src.Fetch(fldLstInfx)>0
fetchCt = fetchCt + 1
Set fldFileNmInfx = fldLstInfx.Lookup(FLD_PLANNM)
Set fldUpdt = fldLstInfx.Lookup(FLD_LASTUPDT)
Set fldDesc = fldLstInfx.Lookup(FLD_DESCI)
stringToExtr = fldFileNmInfx.Text(0) & ", " & fldDesc.Text(0)
Print #fileNumWr%,stringToExtr
infxCt = infxCt + 1
Wend
Close fileNumWr%
Any info is appreciated.
