I am in the midst of upgrading my users’ lotus notes clients from R6.5 to R7.0.2. Smart Upgrade tracking report is of no use to me since this only works for clients which are upgrading from 6.5.3 and above releases.
I only have the ClntBld field to rely on in each user’s Person docs. I am currently using a customized view in the Domino directory to sort this out. Currently using the subset(-1) command to display the persons based on the last clntbld entry.
This is proving so far to be quite unreliable, since my users do alot of workstation hopping. Their own machines could be upgraded, but they could then log onto another machine, thus rendering the subset command useless.
Is there a command I can use to display the “latest release” value in the ClntBld array, ie if user ClntBld field contains ^7.0.2, then R6.5 → display R7.0.2 instead. Also using the ClntBld field, can I then have another column to display the corresponding machine name of that 7.0.2 client?
