Language pack installer says no root level access even if logged in as root

Hi all,

I have sucessfully installed a Lotus Domino 6.0 Server under Debian Linux 3.0 and now am trying to install the German language pack. But the installer says that I have no root level access even if I am logged in as root.

I tried to run the installer by using the console launcher and the GUI launcher. I have JRE 1.3.1 installed. Kernel version is 2.4.18.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
