I’ve a user request for mixing two dictionaries (in this case German and English) for spell checking.
There is a user request not (or with no more than two clicks) changing between two spell checker within a mail.

Subject: Are you aware, that the paragraph knows the language?
Depending on how you problem works, this might helps:
A Paragraph in a Rich Text Field (like the one I type right now) can have a language. - Many paragraphs within the same Field can have different ones.
Spell-checking the field afterwards does change the languages without need of further action.
Subject: enable the language toolbar
Depending on the client the language selector is in the bottom left statusbar look for ‘undefined’ and click on it (basic client like R6/7…) and in the standard client it’s a toolbar which must be enabled first. Rightclick the status bar and enable the ‘language’ toolbar (look for ‘untagged’).‘undefined/untagged’ means that it’s checking the language specified in the preferences. now you can eighter select words or phrases or the whole mail and set the language.
