Hi,
I’m trying to use some arguments posted by Collin Brendemuehl. They allow you to print to a PDF (ex. convert a Word doc to PDF).
Printout(
optional background as variant,
optional append as variant,
optional range as variant,
optional outputfilename as variant,
optional from as variant,
optional to as variant,
optional item as variant,
optional copies as variant,
optional pages as variant,
optional pagetype as variant,
optional printtofile as variant,
optional collate as variant,
optional filename as variant,
optional activeprintermacgx as variant, optional manualduplexprint as variant,
optional printzoomcolumn as variant,
optional printzoomrow as variant,
optional printzoompaperwidth as variant, optional printzoompaperheight as variant)
Does anyone know where to find the descriptions/examples of these parameters?
I inherited code:
'*** Print to PDF Writer (It must be the default printer)
Call Wordobj.activedocument.PrintOut(0,0,0, "")
It works if you have the Adobe printer’s setting for Adobe PDF Output Folder changed from the default of “Prompt for Adobe PDF Filename” to a specific folder.
But that of course involves changing client settings and I’d like to force it to print to a specific folder without having to change client settings.
Call Wordobj.activedocument.PrintOut(0,0,0, “c:\temp\Report.pdf”)
This code works in theory but they resulting PDF is corrupt and not a correctly formed PDF.
I have previously declared an Item for the PDF doc so tried this code:
Call Wordobj.activedocument.PrintOut(0,0,0, "c:\temp\Report.pdf",".",".",AcroApp)
I don’t know if it’s the from, to, or item parameter that is failing, but the resulting error points to this line of code failing.
I tried “” and 0 and “.” in the from and to field.
Coding without knowing what values are needed in the parameters is fun!
Any help is appreciated,
Thanks,
