Keyboard shortcut changed in 6.0.3!

Prior to 6.0.3, if I want to switch locations, the keyboard short cut is: Alt-F, M, choose a location and press enter.

Version 6.0.3, it’s changed to Alt-F, B, then choose a location, and press enter.

Why changed to “B” ??

MOVE IT BACK !!!

Subject: right there with you

The ‘M’ mnemonic was reassigned to the new “Instant Messaging” option on the 6.5 file menu, so 6.0.3 has changed to match it. Not much evidence that Lotus consulted real-world admins before making the change; I might have caught this and made more noise in beta if 6.5M2 hadn’t crashed on startup.

I use the keyboard many times a day, both to switch (F,M,O,O) and to edit (F,M,E) the current location. It seems to me that ‘I’ is just as good a mnemonic for ‘Instant Messaging’, and remapping the ‘Import’ shortcut would likely go unnoticed.

Sorry, I think if “Import” is remapped, another crowd will start roaring…

You can’t just move a keyboard shortcut that was in place since (dare I say version 3) for the sake of a new feature…

The new feature has its place, but not by sacrificing what was working…

anybody at Iris/Lotus/IBM reading this anyway ?

This ain’t support – if there are any Loti about, they’re here on their own time. If you have a complaint about the product that needs to be addressed, file an SPR through channels.
