Java, xslns and setup

How do I go about using a java class I have written in an xsl style sheet?

My jar file is in the jvm\lib\ext filepath on my notes\designer client install. If I try to create an agent and import the jar into an agent the agent compiles fine. However, my xsl transform fails. I have the namespace for the java class defined as follows:

<xsl:stylesheet version=“1.0”

xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"

xmlns:dt="http://127.0.0.1/jvm/bin/ext"

exclude-result-prefixes="dt"

and I try to make calls to a function in the jar from the style sheet as follows:

<xsl:if test=“data”>

<xsl:variable name="arg1" select="string(.)"/>

    <xsl:value-of select="dt:someFunction($arg1,true)">

</xsl:if>

The transformation fails.

If I remove the reference to the xmlns and change the xsl:if to

<xsl:if test=“data”>

<xsl:value-of select="."/>

</xsl:if>

The transformation goes through just fine.

I assume the environment is set up correctly as my test java agent compiles fine (the package works). I believe the problem is the xmlns:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
