Java Debug Console doesn't display in 8.5.2

Hi everyone,

When selecting ‘Tools-Show Java Debug Console’ nothing happens in my 8.5.2 client.

Has anybody else experienced this problem?

Is there a work-around?

Subject: Seeing the same thing. I do not know of a work around

I am seeing the same thing in 8.5.2. I have a different machine running 8.5.1 FP2 and java console works. I do not know of a work around.

Subject: tried again might have a workaround. open client first without DDE, open console, then DDE

I just tried a few other suggestions from various posts, but I think I found a different workaround…

Without having designer open, open the Notes Client then select Tools>Show Java Debug Console. Then open DDE…seems to be working for me now.

I’m on Notes 9.0.1 FP4.

Had the same problem and a Google search turned up this post.

Your workaround works for me.

Yes, this workaround works. It is still necessary using 8.5.3
