Issues with Invites

Hi, we have always had issues when issueing invites to our clients who utilise exchange/outlook. Where by the only way for them to get an invite into their calender is by opening an attachment that is generated from Notes. However, any rescheduling causes the invite to be stripped out and a new invite has to be created.

Now, the company I work for is in the process of rolling out version 8.0.1 and i am currently trialling this version and surprisingly it appears to have resolved all issues other than re-occurring invites.

Again, the client can accept invites (without the need to open attachments)but any re-scheduling of a repeating invite only updates the first scheduled meeting and erases all other invites from their calenders.

Is there any settings that anyone is aware of that may overcome this problem?

Subject: Are they using Exchange 2003?

If they are, I have seen a number of C&S interoperability issues that have been resolved by a hotfix from MS for their box:

Subject: Coexistence Solution is needed

Based up on your message, there are many problems between Domino and Exchange. There are a couple of products that are made for coexistence. I’d personally suggest CMT for Coexistence from BinaryTree. Give their web site a visit and see what it can do for you.

Subject: Notes 8.5 compatibility mode prevents this problem

Unfortunately this is a known problem with Outlook/Exchange. In Notes 8.5 we have an option to enter compatibility mode which will limit workflow so that you can only update a single instance of a meeting. This should work without seeing the problem you describe which happens when you update multiple instances.

We have raised the concern to Microsoft but I am not aware of any movement on it.

Thanks
