Issue with mail moves

I am trying to move some mail users from an R5 server to the new Domino 8.5.1 server. I get the following error in the ‘Replace Mailfile Fields’ action:

Admin Process: Received the following error performing a Replace Mailfile Fields request on John Doe/ACME (Path: names.nsf): Note item not found

I’ve confirmed the new server is the administration serer of the NAB and admin4.nsf, and that ‘Do Not Replace Names Fields’ is properly set.

The error is happening on the 8.5.1 server not the R5 server.

Anyone got any ideas?

The issue is that I moved the Administration Server of both names.nsf and admin4.nsf. After much (very much) trial and error, I found that names.nsf needs to be administered by the R5 server, while admin4.nsf should be managed by the new R8.5.1 server. Once all your mail files have been moved, then you can make the new server the admin server of the NAB.
