Issue with Hidingand editing field in different situations

Hi,

I need a big help.

I have a form in which I have one field.When Iam creating a new document this field should be editable.Second case is when Iam creating a new doc based on existing doc this field should not be editable but remaining fields can be editable.Third case is when Iam creating a new document from existing doc this field needs to be editable.

How can I achive this. I cant able to figure it I tried different hide whens but nothing is working.The only thing its working for me is to use two different forms,one for first two cases and second for last case.But I should use only one form.

Can you clarify what you mean by “creating a new doc based on existing doc” and by “creating a new document from existing doc”?

What functions are you using in these cases?

Hi RobIam sorry both are same but just typed in differently.Even though second and third will do almostt same functionality in second case the mentioned field should not be editable and in third case the mentioned field should be editable.
