Mail files were migrated from pst files to Notes R6 Mail files a few months back but When we setup Archiving on these mail files to archive all mails not modified after 3 months, it does not archive any of the migrated mail folders accross only the folders that have been created since the migration. Mails in the migrated folders will move accross to the Archive database if we select the documents and manually click on “Archive selected documents” but won’t do this from the “archive settings” automatically.
Would anyone have any ideas on what I could try here? Thanks a lot.

That’s beacuse the mails that you Migrated are dated from that day (the day Notes Created them), not the date of the mails themselves.
Presumably you migrated the Exchange Server Mail Boxes using the Server Side DUS from the Domino Admin Client, which would not be the PST file?)
PST files are migrated using nupgrade.exe 3 command. This creates a local PersonalFolders.nsf. Did you then point peoples Archive settings at that file, or create a new one?
NOTE:
The first time a user Archives, it recreates the Database Design identical to the Original Mail Template, but after that no new folders are added.
Also beware if you change a users ID file or Name and the Local Arcive is Encrypted or has the ACL enforces. - Enter a whole world of pain.
Sadly I am pretty sure this a notes type bug that needs to be addressed.
