I had a server where i had my CIAO! database installed. Some time ago that server was shut down, but since then, each time I access any document in the Notes Client (on any db), Notes tries to connect to this server.
“Requesting Address of SERVER1 from MailServer1 on TCPIP”
“Checking for SERVER1 on TCPIP using address ´SERVER1´”
"Unable to find any path to SERVER1 because Unable to find path to server. To trace this connection… "
I did a trace as the request and got the following:
Determining path to server SERVER1/SERV
Available Ports: TCPIP
Checking normal priority connection documents only…
Allowing wild card connection documents…
Enabling name service requests and probes…
Requesting address of SERVER1/SERV from MailServer1 on TCPIP
Using address ‘XX.XX.XXX.XXX’ for MailServer1 on TCPIP
MailServer1 has no address for SERVER1/SERV on TCPIP
Checking for SERVER1/SERV on TCPIP using address ‘SERVER1’
Unable to connect to SERVER1/SERV on TCPIP (The remote server is not a known TCP/IP host.)
Checking low and normal priority connection documents…
No default passthru server defined
Unable to find any path to SERVER1/SERV because Unable to find path to server. To trace this connection, use File - Preferences - User Preferences - Ports - Trace (Notes client) or Trace command (Domino server)
How can I stop Notes Client looking for this server every single time? It slows the document opening time a lot!
Any help would be appreciated! Thnx!
