Is this query (view selection) valid?

Hi,

Got a document which contains the field “MQEnvelopeTo”. The field holds a valid email address (available in the Domino Directory).

Have made a a view which should only list documents which belongs to the current user / ID.

SELECT @All & MQEnvelopeTo = @NameLookup([NoSearching];@UserName;“InternetAddress”)

But nothing happens. My view stays empty - what am I missing here??

(If I add two fields on a form each contain MQEnvelopeTo and @NameLookup([NoSearching];@UserName;“InternetAddress”) I do get exactly the same email address out!?)

Have as well tried (pretty much the same)

addr1 := @Text(MQEnvelopeTo);

addr2 := @Text(@NameLookup([NoSearching];@UserName;“InternetAddress”));

SELECT @All & addr1 = addr2

but no difference.

Cheers,

Kjeld

Update; I guess this happens why the view is being created by the server when requested, or? What workaround can I use?

Subject: Is this query valid??

If you want a view whose results depend on the current id, use a private view, or use the single-category technique. And while the help file does not say whether @Namelookup is supported in selection formulas, I would not expect it to be. And what do you need @All in the formula for?

Subject: Absolutely right…

hi

Never use @username in a selection formula,

never use a lookup,

and further, search for already often disccused things about categorization, @username, and so…

Hi, thanks for your help. and input…

Have created a shared, private on first use view which provides what I was looking for. As well is no @username used.

Cheers,
