Is there a way?

Hi All,

I am working for a organisation deployed at client -site on a lotus web based application. The mails from the application are first routed from the domino server to a proxy-server which in turn routes them to another server for DNS resolution. The mails are getting delivered with thier body mising.

The network here at client-site is taken care of another organisation. So,is it possible that they might be filtering the body of the mails for some security reasons(i.e because of spam or authentication or any other good reason)??

The sent view in the Mail box shows the body of the mails. On checking the undeliverable mail in the MAIL.BOX ,the body of the mails found missing.

SMTP protocal is used for the mail transfer.

So,what can be the possible reason for the body of the mails not getting delivered???

Is there a way to check whether the filtering is happening or not by the network administrators???

Thanks in Advance for your suggestions.

You need to test first whether or not the information that you think is ‘Missing’ was every on the email in the first place when it is created. If they are from an application, the email is probably being created by code. Have you any evidence that this works OK?

THanks Melissa for the response.

Yes Melissa, the email is being generated by an agent. The generation part is OK .I am pretty sure of that.

The emails sent from the application were delivering fine.

It is only from last few months ,i am encountering this problem.

I just need to confirm that body of the mail is being filtered or not by the network administrator .Or some other step at my end is required???
