Our lawyers are asking to have a message appear each time users launch Notes. Is there a way to customize the splash screen with a new bitmap and/or text?
I found the link below, but the splash.bmp file does not exist in the folder it mentions in version 8.5.1:

Subject: It is possible in Designer and previous versions of Notes.
You “can” edit the splash.bmp in Designer client, but it seems that the regular Notes client doesn’t have a splash.bmp anymore (that I can find).When the lawyers ask for something, I try to exhaust every option trying to find an answer. Who uses Word anyway? 
Subject: The file splash.bmp is now part of a jar file
Goto the directory [Notes Program]\framework\shared\eclipse\plugins and look for te file com.ibm.notes.branding[versionnumber].jar. This file contains the splash.bmp you need to modify or replace.
