Is there a server command or way to Force an empty trash of all my mailboxes? Would like to do this before a compact.
Just Curious. THanks

Subject: Re: Delete All Trash
Hi Rich,
As far as I know, there is not a command to purge all messages in the Trash. However, one workaround I thought of is that you could create a Organizational Policy to Turn Off Soft Deletions. Leave it in place for a few days so that any user that Authenticates with the Server receives the Policy. This will then, in effect, stop mail from going to the Trash and should remove the documents in their Trash as well. For example, if I go to disable Soft Deletions in my Mail File, I receive the prompt seen below:
(In case the Screen Shot doesn’t show, it says “Are you sure? Disabling soft deletions causes all currently soft deleted documents to be permanently removed.”)
After you run your Compact, you can then disable the Policy. Leave the Policy there so that you can easily delete all mail in the Trash again.
Hope this helps Rich!
