My document has Actions that should not be visible in the previewpane, and I don’t want the Hotspots to execute either. So I’m looking for an equivalent to “if source.Inpreviewpane Then XXXX”
Any ideas are welcome!

Subject: use the hide tab
On the Hide tab in the action properties box you can hide them when previewed.
As for cross reference from LS to Formula, look in help, if there is no cross reference there then none exists.
Subject: duh
I think you can assume that I am familiar with the most basic functionality of Notes.I just wondered if one of you clever people knew a way to pass this property to the hotspot button as is, so that its functionality would be the same when previewed or when edited.
If this can’t work, then I must have two buttons – one for viewing and one for editing. I had hoped to avoid that.
Subject: can’t assume anything
have you seen some of the other posts on here? some people are clueless …
Subject: preview pane
Maybe disable the preview pane for applicable view(s)?
On second thought, I don’t think that would suffice since the user can reopen the preview pane after the view opens.
Maybe put a msg in the post open of the doc telling user no, no, no…and don’t open the doc?
