HI,
Is there way to set up Text Popup hotspots so can be edited by power users that do not have the Designer? Maybe do a lookup to an editable document?
Thanks,
Tim

Subject: Doesn’t look that way
Since there’s no option to make the text of a popup hotspot a computed formula, it looks like you’re out of luck. If there were, you could simply point it at an editable field on the same document which you’d control the visibility of using roles.

Could you manipulate it via DXL? I don’t know if the hotspot popup text is exposed or not, but if it is then wouldn’t it be possible to write an agent that updates the design element?
Disclaimer: I am NOT a DXL expert. So I may be way off here…
Subject: Formula popup
Can you use a Formula popup instead of a Text popup, with a formula that points to some editable source?

I had completely forgotten about the dichotomy of text vs formula popups! There’s your answer!
