I have some discussion with technician who is involved with migrating lotus application to .net and sharepoint, was told that it is so much easier to develop application using notes rather than .net or sharepoint, as designs resides on one same database.
any comments out there?

In general, it is much faster to develop and deploy an application using Notes, but it obviously depends on what the application does. There are some kinds of applications, for instances ones that use resources or templates from .Net or Sharepoint provide, that would obviously be faster to develop and deploy than in Notes.
