Is Lotus Script and Lotus Formula vulnerable against Buffer Attacks?

Hi

I’m taking a look at Domino from a security stand point and I stumbled upon the question of do Domino Application Developers have to worry about buffer attacks in their code.

I know that Lotus Script and Lotus Formula are not exactly C based languages, but nevertheless I though that it was better to ask the experts than to assume.

Thank you,

Subject: Not by design.

All of that stuff is handled internally, the developer doesn’t have to take that sort of thing into account.

If there’s an exploit possible then it’s there because of an internal bug. IBM fixes any known exploits REALLY fast. Notes/Domino has a reputation for being (arguably) the most secure app-dev platform in existence, and they want to keep it that way.

Subject: Inherently secure

Well thats what I though it’s a sort of managed environment.

Thank you Erik you were very helpful.

And sorry for the late reply.
