Is it possible to sync a corporate address book with Traveler?

We are testing Traveler. Synchronizing the personal address book and contacts works fine. But the users need to sync a company address book e.g. Mobile Directory (local replica or on server)to their phones as well. I have not been abne to figure out if that is possible. Can anyone help? TIA Jytte

Unfortunately you can not at this time sync the corporate address book using Lotus Notes Traveler. You can sync the users local address book, so for now the best option is to add the most common used addresses to the local address book. See this Info Center topic for more info on syncing the local address book:

We have had several requests to support syncing the corporate address book and have entered it into the Lotus Notes Traveler Requirements database. The function is still under investigation and has not been assigned to a particular release yet.

Subject: Corporate lookup for Traveler

Unfortunately we do not have an update here yet. Part of the problem is that the native applications for E-mail on Windows Mobile and Nokia do not provide lookup functionality. This makes it a technical issue of how to surface the lookup on the device so that it is easy to use.

That said in Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.1 due out in 2nd half of 2009 we will support the I-phone. The native e-mail app on I-phone does support lookup functionality, so we expect to have some basic corporate lookup cabability in the I-phone.

We appologize for the inconvenience and will continue to keep this as a high priority as many customers have requested.

Subject: Pocket Outlook Corporate lookup

Is that right? Windows Mobile email when talking to an exchange server certainly does provide corporate lookup functionality, and on my device (using Traveler) that option still appears in the menu but is simply greyed out because Traveler doesn’t support it.Is there some reason that this mechanism is not available for Traveler to use?
