Is it possible to change OU name?

Hi guys,

I’m having this problem. One of my colleague was asked to move 1 user to another certifier. Unfortunately, instead of moving the user to a new certifier, he had rename the certifier itself. To demonstrate of this problem, pls read below.

users name : henry/sales/mydomain

current ou : /sales/mydomain

new ou : /marketing/mydomain

the user, Henry should be transferred to henry/marketing/mydomain from henry/sales/mydomain. instead of doing this, my colleague had accidentally changed the OU, /marketing/mydomain to henry/marketing/mydomain.

now i had received a form requesting for a registration for a new user under the /marketing/mydomain. but i’m not able to proceed with the registration due to this problem. it seems like I had no /marketing/mydomain anymore.

any suggestion and comments are highly appreciated. TQ

Subject: ID Properties

I think you can rename a OU id from the ID proerties. I remeber doing it long time back.

All you need to do is go to YOur Identity and change the name there. Once done recertfy the id with the Org/cert.id and then recerify all the id’s created with this ou with the renamed ou id.

THis is how it should work.
