Currently, when I register new users, they all get created as Lotus Notes users even though some people never see a Lotus Notes client and will just use iNotes.
The problem I am starting to see with this is that is an iNotes user needs a name change, I have to fire up a computer with Notes client on it and use it with that users ID file to get the name change to complete. Otherwise, the name change times out and is stuck in limbo.
Since I register all my users as Notes clients, I can’t attach the users ID file to their mail file.
Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this? What I was thinking of doing was to start creating everyone as an iNotes users. When I find out that they will be a Notes client user, I would then change them to a Notes users from an iNotes user.
