Is Health Monitoring broken in Domino Admin 8.0.2?

Does anyone with a Domino 8 Administrator client have Health Monitoring working? To clarify, I can start and stop the server monitor from the Server - Monitoring tab, but it doesn’t create any Health Reports or Server Configuration documents in the client’s Health Monitoring database (dommon.nsf).

There’s a repeated error in the local Notes log corresponding to the monitoring frequency:

11/24/2008 05:15:40 PM Health Monitor Error: ‘0’, file naapi.cpp, line 2101 NA_CATCH … catch(…)

11/24/2008 05:16:43 PM Health Monitor Error: ‘0’, file naapi.cpp, line 2101 NA_CATCH … catch(…)

11/24/2008 05:17:40 PM Health Monitor Error: ‘0’, file naapi.cpp, line 2101 NA_CATCH … catch(…)

11/24/2008 05:18:40 PM Health Monitor Error: ‘0’, file naapi.cpp, line 2101 NA_CATCH … catch(…)

11/24/2008 05:19:40 PM Health Monitor Error: ‘0’, file naapi.cpp, line 2101 NA_CATCH … catch(…)

This appears to be the same issue recorded in Domino Admin 8.0.1 earlier this year: http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd8forum.nsf/5f27803bba85d8e285256bf10054620d/1112dcae7113b9fb85257401005e12ee?OpenDocument

So, does anyone know of progress on a fix? Does it work in 8.5? How about 8.0.2 CCH1?

If you’re interesed in using Health Monitoring, it would be worth a quick call to support to register your displeasure that this product feature appears to have been disabled for the best part of a year.

Thanks!

Sadly, installing the cumulative hotfix didn’t fix this. I understand that bugs take time to reproduce and resolve, but failing to fix a documented product feature that has worked since 2002 seems a bit of an oversight.

thank you for reporting this

Subject: Thanks, is there an SPR?

Harry,

Thanks for your quick response. It’s good to know that IBM support people scan the forums.

Is there a PMR or SPR related to this issue yet? Or do you have an idea of what timeframe to expect the fix? Either of those would help in talking to customers who would like to include health reports in their monitoring plans.

Many thanks,
