Is Backup Exec 10d with Domino 8.5 ok if not upgrading ODS or using Symantec Domino Plug-in/API's?

I know there have been issues with Backup Exec 10d running against a Domino 8.5 server, but I am trying to determine if these are still applicable if we are running as follows:

  1. Backup Exec is working at a file level

  2. We are not using the Domino plug-in

  3. We have not updated the Files to the 8.5 ODS

We are trying to get our servers up to 8.5 in a timely manner and can update the ODS at a later time. However, if the Backup Exec will have issues the moment we upgrade the server to Domino 8.5, then we will have to wait.
