Is all that's required a user.id file to access email?

Hi. I’ve been searching this forum and the internets for the answer to this question, and I haven’t QUITE found it, although it’s been eluded to a lot while searching for roaming and user.id. If it’s already been answered please point me to the proper thread.

I want to access my lotus notes email while visiting the head office, but I don’t want to drag my laptop with me. I’ve been told I can use a collegues PC, which will have Lotus installed on it, and that all I need is my user.id file, which I plan to put on my personal H: network drive.

Question: is this true? I don’t need any desktop.nsf or notes.ini or other files/databases in order to access my email?

any other advice?

thanks.

If you have the HTTP task running on your mail server, why not just use Domino Web Access (iNotes)?

Point the web browser to your server:

http:///mail/mailfile.nsf

Enter your name and Lotus Notes Internet password, and you have access from a web browser.

Would be a little easier than carrying around your Notes ID.

but the answer is YES that is all you need (and the location of your mailfile of course).
