Is Active Directory Synchronization available in beta?

I can’t seem to find it as an option when installing the software.

Subject: ADSync install is missing

There is a bug apparently in install.

Subject: ADSync?

If you are referring to ADSync instead of the directory independence feature Kevin discusses in his reply, that is installed by registering the nadsync.dll file in your admin client’s program directory. Instructions can be found here:

Subject: Directory Independence feature set will not be delivered in 8.5

While Lotus Domino 8.5 will provide significant improvements and TCO reductions for customers that upgrade to Domino 8.5, the Directory Independence feature originally slated for inclusion in Domino 8.5 has been delayed. The initial directory targeted for support of this feature is Active Directory, with the plan to include other leading directories in future releases. To further the value for Lotus Domino customers, new Domino directory APIs are planned for application integration.

Due to the complexity of implementing the Directory Independence feature, we have decided to implement it on a separate timetable – distinct from Domino 8.5 – to avoid impacting the Domino 8.5 release.

Work is proceeding on the Directory Independence feature, with the expectation that the feature will be available around the middle of 2009. As with the original plan, the initial focus is on Active Directory, with other leading directories to follow. Prior to the feature becoming available in a general availability release (GA), Directory Independence will be available for a preview through a private Beta.

Directory Independence notwithstanding, your entitlement to Domino 8.0 (and later) provides you with an entitlement to IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator which can be used for purposes of directory synchronization. In the case of the releases via this design partner program, TDI is neither delivered nor installed with the Domino kit. Check your 8.0 gold kit for TDI if this is of interest.
