We are currently at 7.0.3 FP1 Windows 2003 and I am looking to upgrade to 8.0.X. I’ve heard some say that 8.0.1 is more stable than 8.0.2 FP1 IF1. I’m just looking for some feedback from the ‘real world’.
Upgrading to 8.5 is not yet an option because some of our integrated applications are not yet ready for 8.5.
Subject: 8.0.2 FP1
I have found 8.0.2 FP1 is very stablehowever R8.5 is the best of all, despite the issues you listed
Subject: I would tend to second this (and suggest to look at 8.5., too)
Subject: Go to 8.5…
…much better and funnier.
Subject: Why exactly can’t you go 8.5?
Seriously, 8.5 is so much more stable than 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 (btw: I had more problems with 8.0.2 than 8.0.1).
Why exactly can’t you go to 8.5?
What does this statement mean - and why is it any different to the problems you’d face with 8.0.2?
“Upgrading to 8.5 is not yet an option because some of our integrated applications are not yet ready for 8.5”
Subject: Faxing Application
Our Faxing Application (RightFax) and our CRM (Salesplace) do not support 8.5. I will double check - perhaps I can bring the server up to 8.5 and leave the clients at the 8.0.2 which is supported by RightFax and Salesplace.
