iPhone can not access mails using ultra-light mode

After upgrading the Domino Server from 8.0.2 to8.5.1 FP1, I changed a users mail template to mail8.5. Using a iPhone he’s now able to authenticate and get the ultralite mode page.

But after selecting the inbox, the screen displays “initializing” and nothing more happens.

The user upgraded from mail8 to mail85 an had previously access via iPhone.

There aren’t any proxies. Also the url doesn’t contain special characters.

It seems to be a problem with the size of the database or the number of documents. This users database is 1,5GB and contains over 10’000 documents. He was successful with another db with only a few document.

I posted a new topic (WEBB82XFSQ) because it’s not clearly an iPhone issue.

Also when you see the ‘Initializing’ message, does it look like the browser is refreshing or waiting? Do you see the Browser progress gauge in the address bar? What does it look like its doing?

In the Domino Webserver Log I noticed 3 consecutive entries repeated almost every second

during the whole browsers wait time:

The user worked with his database via PC webbrowser for a while using several views like"all documents" (what he previously only did via

Notes client or iPhone).

Surprisingly, after that he was able to access his documents on the iPhone.
