A user here sometimes receives meeting invitations from different chairpersons both internal and external to the company that go directly to his calendar view unprocessed and Ghosting is not enabled. When opening these invitations, there is no option to Accept. However, if you select the meeting, the Action bar displays the Accept button.
Questions:
1 - What is causing these meeting invitations to go directly to his calendar view whereas others go to his inbox?
2 - What happened to the Accept button in these invitations that go directly to the calendar view?
The entries probably have a CalendarDateTime on them which would cause them to show up in the Calendar view. Unfortunately, there could be many reasons for the response actions not showing, but without a copy of one of these entries I can’t be certain.
I sent this person a test meeting today and it appeared in his inbox and had all buttons accounted for. He received another invitation from someone else that appeared in his inbox AND the calendar, but there was no option to Accept within the invitation.
What kind of data would you like and where would you like it sent?
This user is located on the East coast (GMT -5) and the scheduler is located in the same office. However, the CalendarDateTime field is displaying GMT -0. The invitee’s Notes client is set to use the OS time zone settings (waiting on user to confirm OS time zone settings), the mail server is set to GMT -5, and the chair’s Notes settings are set to use the OS time zone (waiting on confirmation on her OS time zone settings too).
I would have liked to have found out exactly why this was happening, but time was becoming an issue here. I ended up creating a brand new mailfile and moving the user’s data into the new mailfile. All issues are resolved… basically.
