Invalid UNID; UNID must be a 32-digit hex string

After having checked the forum for this problem, I can now post my issue as I did not find any answers.I have a database for tracking some laptops. There are different views. I create a document where there are two Combo boxes fed by @DBColumn for the data.

Upon saving I need to access a document in a view and modify a field value. I am using the following:

@SetDocField(@DBLookup(“”;@ServerName:@Subset(@DBName;-1); “Laptops” ; pc_identification_id ; “uniqueid”) ; “pc_available” ; “No”)

And I get the infamous: Invalid UNID; UNID must be a 32-digit hex string

Any ideas anyone? I checked all documentation I could find but to no avail

Thank for any and all help

Subject: SOLVED: Invalid UNID; UNID must be a 32-digit hex string

I found a solution to my problem:

I created a column (number 7) in my view with @Text(@DocumentUniqueID)

I changed the formula to the following:

@SetDocField(@DBLookup(“”;@ServerName:@Subset(@DBName;-1); “Laptops” ; pc_identification_id ; 7) ; “pc_available” ; “No”)

It’s working as I was expecting.

Hope this helps someone

there is a problem in the view (like corrupt), i resolved with a cut/paste of the view in designer
