We have been given a nsf file which came from a sister org. When we try to open the file we get error ‘Invalid NSF version’.
We have tried compact -r and fixup at console but it still reports the error.
Is there a way to get around this?

Subject: Invalid NSF Version
Find out what version of client server the db came from. Good chances are it came from a later version of client/server

compact -r can only “downgrade” NSFs that your Notes/Domino version can recognize. You’ll have to use a version that doesn’t report “Invalid NSF version” to convert to a version that you can use, and it’s likely that the best course of action is to have your sister org do the conversion for you. (Do note, however, that even if the NSF/ODS version issue is fixed, there’s a chance that they’ve also used features that don’t work in Notes/Domino 6.5.5, so the NSF version fix won’t help a lot.)
