Hi all,
I receive an “Invalid bucket number” error message upon saving a notes document. Anyone experienced this, and know how to solve this?
I’m little bit stuck on this one since I can’t update the doc, nor delete it from the db.
I’ve already run a fixup on the db (with inlcude all doc parameter). But that didn’t help. Server is R5.0.13.
TIA!
Cheers,
Roger

…and if that won’t work, create a new database copy. If the latter doesn’t work, you should probably fetch your latest backup
BTW; Buckets often refer to RRV’s, and a short description I found was;
RRV= Record Relocation Vector
An RRV is a DWORD offset in a notes file. Confusion often arises because the note ID is casually referred to as “the Note’s RRV in this file.” In fact, the note ID is the offset in the file to the RRV, which in turn points to the record for the note. An RRV is a general structure, while a note ID is more specific. Internal to Notes, various other objects besides notes have an associated RRV.

Thanks for the reply Robert! I also thought of creating a new replica, and did so on our test server. This seems to work, I could delete the doc in the new replica copy. I’ll now get in touch with our admins to do this in the live environment.
I’ll get back with the results later…
Thanks again.

Subject: SOLVED!
Just found the ways out of this. It can be solved in 2 ways:1) Creating a new replica, and replace the old one with this, or
- Run the Compact task on the server

I had this same problem is R5 Unix server. But the Compact is not working in this case.
i put the command as
/opt/lotus/bin/compact /databasepath/database.nsf
