"Internet User" vs "Lotus notes User"

Hi All,

Can anyone explain what is the differece

between “Internet User” to “Lotus notes User” ?

Thanks.

Subject: Here you go

An internet user only accesses Domino through a web browser, they do not have a Notes client or Notes .ID file. So this user does not have a certified ID.

A Notes user, could use the web to access Domino, but also has a Notes client and corresponding Notes .ID file. They have a certified ID file.

Subject: Thanks , So how do … ?

Thanks.

I have created LDAP client application that

is adding a new user to the Lotus LDAP

Directory.

From what I could tell , the user is added as

“internet user” ? Hence he can visit his

documents through the web , however , since he

is not registered , he cannot visit his mailbox

Through the Lotus Notes client application.

Is there any Notes procedure or configuration I

can use that will automatically register a user

That was added through LDAP query ? making sure

that such a user will be able to access

His mailbox through the Lotus Notes client

application ?

Thanks,

Korso.
