I’m having a very confusing issue. I have two Dom servers, Production and Development. We use Internet Site docs to set up subdomains for our many sites. (I.E., site1.mydomain.com, site2.mydomain.com, dev.mydomain.com)
All sites use * for the ‘Domino servers that host this site’ value, except for dev.mydomain.com - which we direct to the Development server. Works great.
Now I want to add dev2.mydomain.com. I set up this new doc just like the one that works, but it just won’t. The new URL gets directed to the DEFAULT site on the Production server.
I’ve restarted http on both servers, and even restarted both servers themselves.
The servers share the same names.nsf - which has replicated. I’ve checked the configs from each server and they look correct.
When I try to access the dev2 URL, I get an error on the PRODUCTION server, warning that the database (that is really on DEV) doesn’t exist. So it seems like the ‘Domino servers that host this site’ value is being ignored.
I’ve created a second site doc and this happens there too, so its not a corrupt doc. And remember that the one original dev.mydomain.com doc apparently sees the ‘Domino servers that host this site’ value and DOES work properly.
So… Arrrrrrghhh!
