Internet Sites - Masking db path?

Hi,

We have a strange one on Internet Sites on Domino 7.0.2 server on a windows 2003 R2 box.

We have internet sites running for several websites but everytime the main url (www.mysite.com) is entered into a browser, the full path is displayed in the address bar to the end user. e.g. www.mysite.com/website/mydb.nsf

Now we have another server with internet sites configured the same (or so we think) which works fine and masks the url fine. e.g. www.mysite.com

It is only this one server that has the issue. If we point the erroring domains to the “working” server the path is hidden and it works fine. Therefore we are thinking it must be a server config error rather than internet sites documents.

Is this something anyone has found before? Is it something simple that we have missed?

The “working” server is to be retired so we could do with the new server masking the paths…

Any help and advice would be grand.

Many Thanks, Greg.

So Greg,

I was looking at your forum name, Googled NextStepIT, and found http://www.nextstepit.com/index.htm - home of all thing Microsoft. If NextStepIT is the same company as referenced in your name, I’ll bite, where does Notes fit in?

Just curious.

Doug

So Doug,

The issue has nothing to do with who I am but a problem that I have. I am a Domino developer and have been for many years, I promote Domino on a daily basis with my clients and prospective clients.

Back to the point…

I have an issue with internet sites. Is this something anyone else has seen?
