Internet mail name conversion

With one user we have the following problem.IF this user send an e-mail the address will appear like this: John_Doe/Domain@domain.local

In his person document on the server it says j.doe@domain.nl in the internetaddress field.

In his location document also.

When I send an email to the internet with this users name as cc the receiver will get the John_Doe/Domain@domain.local address. With all other users we do not have this issue. He is not member of any ‘special’ policies.

It used to work OK but since a few days this problem occurs (w/o any changes known).

I noticed this problem: http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/5f27803bba85d8e285256bf10054620d/f32d2404d6d4b53b8525760400525f8f?OpenDocument&Highlight=0,internet,domain

which seems to be the same but no responses on it.

Does anyone have a clue?

Peter Roest

Subject: Us too.

I’ve been wanting to fix that same issue in our environment for ages.

Hope someone has the answer…

Subject: forwarding address?

check John Doe’s person doc for a forwarding address. if there is a forwarding address in Notes format then this is the issue.

Hi Peter,When you mention that you have sent a test mail, did you send the test mail using your computer or the user’s computer. I’d recheck his local names location document for the ‘Internet Mail Address’ field.
