Internet mail address from Lotus Notes

hellowhen sending mail from browser, the internet address is displayed in lotus notes canonical format USER/ORGANIZAZION/, instead of the standarn format user@domain.com

where can i change its value, so that users sending mail via browser, can send their messages correctly?

If you’re sending mail using lotus script(QuerySave Agent) then you may do the following:

Dim session as new notessession

Dim nam as notesname

set nam = session.createname(Your User name)

if (nam.Addr821 <> “”) then

maildoc.INetFrom = nam.Addr821

end if

maybe i didn’t explain my problem correctly…

if i connect to my mail database via browser(INOTES), and i send a message outside my organisation, the address displayed is NICOLA BERTOVELLO/MY ORGANISATION/

but i would like it to be

n.bertovello@myorganisation.com

otherwise who will receive the message won’t be able to reply.

any suggestion?

You have to specify the Internet mail address in your location document in the format jbloggs@acme.com or whatever.

the internet mail address is specified in every location of my personal address book. however, when i connect via inotes, or in other words, via browser, the address displayed is always the same.

can’t find any other solution.

Is the internet mail address present in the Person document of the nab ?

yes it is. the internet mail address is present in the nab

also, in the pab, in every location.

also, mail is set to be send through the domino server in every circumstances, different from the dial up connections.

but still the address is in the lotus canonical format.

Right ! Please check your Global Domain (conversions tab) document for the correct sender’s format. If this is not correct then modify and then you may have to restart the smtp/router.

checked the global domain conversion tab.i enabled the internet address lookup and set all the conversion until i reached the example similar to our mail address pattern.

i completely restarted the domino server,

but the address is still wrong…
