We set up an ID Vault on Domino 8.5.1 running on a Windows 2003 Server. Once an ID file is vaulted (either at registration or later via security policy setting) we import an internet certificate into that ID file (Using an 8.5.1 client). This works fine so far. When clicking “OK” in the user security dialog box after importing the certificate, the ID immediately gets synchronized with the vault, which is correct.
Now, when we open the user security dialog again to view the certificate just imported we realize that it’s gone. The issue is not reproducible with a an ID that’s not vaulted. However, it is reproducible when we add a certificate to an ID that is not yet vaulted. As soon as it gets vaulted the certificate is also gone.
The issue only applies to certificates. If keys are added to a vaulted id, they stay as they should.
IBM says the issue is not reproducible for them.
Anyone experienced the same issue or has any ideas what the problem could be?
