Internal Mail Routing Issue

Hi,

I’m having an internal mail routing issue here. Our mail hub had its IP address changed over the weekend as it was relocated to a different subnet/site.

I updated the server document and the 5 relevant connection documents to which it current routes mail to with the new IP details. The reason for the connection documents is because they are on different notes name networks.

The problem is, our mail hub is able to route mail to 4 locations without a hitch. The remaining location, mail just sits in mail.box. On the domino console, it says it transferring mail, but nothing is actually been transferred. Connection between mail hub and troubled site is fine, as replication works.

I’ve tried the following things to try to resolve the problem so far without success:

  1. created a new connection document to server in which we are having trouble routing to

  2. stop/restarted domino router task

  3. ran fixup/compact/nupdall on the names.nsf

  4. ran fixup/compact on mail.box

  5. created a new mail.box

Can anyone shed some light on the problem pls?

Cheers,

Sung

Have you checked the ports tab of the server document for the location? some thing must be wrong in the section

Yes.

This problem has now been solved. I finally refer the problem to our network provider, and it was found out to be a problem with the router config. The MTU and MSS setting were apparently configured to close together, causing the data transmission issue.
