I’ve search through the postings and have not found an answer to my question.
We have an interesting problem. A manager addresses a message to “Smith”, hits his return key and gets the ambiguous name dialog. He selects the name he wants and then types “Jones” and hits his return key. He gets the ambiguous name dialog. He then types “Brown” and again gets the ambiguous name dialog. This works for a week. Then he takes his computer home on the weekend and does some work on it.
When he returns the following week, he can type “Smith” or “Brown” and get the ambiguous name dialog, but when he types “Jones” all he gets in his address line is “jones,”. No dialog. His client continues to work this way for the rest of the week. He takes the computer home on the weekend, does some work and when he comes back, his addressing problem seems to be gone.
This has been happening, apparently, since we upgraded him to 6.5.4 from 6.0.1 earlier this summer.
I have also had another customer report getting the ambiguous name dialog for several names, but not for others.
Local address books do not include any of the names in question and we have disabled all local address books except for names.nsf.
Does anyone have any idea about what is going on?
Thanks.
Dennis
