I have a Domino installation and I need the users can reach the e-mail adress of another users in exchange installation from Notes Client. I have set up a LDAP connection in the client and it works fine, but I need “replicate” the Active Directory to a Notes Database because there is servers with slow connections to the Active Directory.
I have configured the Directory Assistance but I don´t get pull the e-mail address to Domino from Microsoft Active Directory.

Were you able to solve your problem? My company was recently acquired by another company that runs exchanges we want to do exactly what you were asking about.

Hello Alan.
I have studing the redbook about ADSync and I think it´s not what I am looking for.
I have two different enviroments (Domino and Exchange) with two differents Domain. What I need is “import” the e-mail address from Active Directory to another Directory in Domino (maybe a secondary Directory) Not adding the AD users to my Domino Directory.
Subject: RE: What are you trying to accomplish, allowing Domino users to send email to the AD users? If so, why not just use Directory Assistance?
Yes, that is what I want. I have used Directory Assistance but the Notes Client users don’t see AD users.
I have created a database for Directory Assistance and I have created and configurated a document for a LDAP Domain. In the server console I see the message “SERVING REFERRALS TO LDAP SERVER …” but when I try see an e-mail address in AD it doesn’t work. I don’t Know if I need any step more.
This is my first problem. I also need to have a copy of user of the AD in a Notes Database for replicate to another Domino Server

Hi Eduardo,
Can u pls restate the scenario?
I don’t believe there exists a way for routing mail from a domino server to an exchange server. Maybe iam mistaken, but u may have to migrate the exchange users to domino probably.
Iam not familiar with the exchange server, is it that ADS users are registered in the exchange mail server and their mail files are on the exchange server?
Is this exchange server and the ADS users on same machine, 2000 or 2003 server?

Hi Ajith.
I describe you the scenario.
I have two companies with different enviroment (one Domino and other Exchange) and different mail Domain. Theese companies want access to the other company Directory but not integrate the directories. Each Company wants to keep its mail system and independence.
What I need is that a user with Domino Client can reach the exchange users e-mail address in AD.
I think the Exchange server is in the same machine that 2003 server but I’m not sure because I don’t Know the exchange enviroment deeply.
I have tried configure Directory Assistance for AD and it works but not fine and only from Browser not with notes client.
If I create an Account for LDAP server it works fine, but then I have to create one Account in all user’s names.nsf. I need replicate the AD in a secondary Directory for server with bad connections.
